Tipping?
I have a question for everyone... When you go out to dinner you all tip your waiters right? Well if you went out to dinner but it was a buffet would you not tip? because i work in a banquet/restaurant setting and during lent we offer our friday fish fry buffet and we work like a full service restaurant on these days you can order from a menu or get the buffet and we get your drinks for you ect. but for some reason people feel that its a buffet they dont need to tip.. tonight i had 2 tables with bills over 100 dollars and did not leave a tip NOT A PENNY and its not that im being selfish either because we split all the tips with the other waiters..... but i just was curious to know if people think that when its a buffet you dont have to tip...

Oh boy! I am the one that always makes sure we leave our waiter or waitress enough money! I think if someone took an order of any kind, such as a drink order then some kind of tip should be left. Maybe not 18% but a little something.

Jeeeze, that's terrible.
I always, always, always tip regardless of what kind of place it is. Even if it's not full on waiting, that person is still probably not making spetacular pay, so they need the extra cushion room that tips provide.
Just my thoughts.
If it's a buffet, I don't think you should tip. So you get us our drinks, that is just not enough for me to leave a 15% tip. Now when you guys do a special like you mentioned and you offer a menu, then you should receive a tip because you not only bring the drinks but the food and the check as well.
